slackware 14.1发布!!
Slackware 14.1 is released!After over a year of development (including the beta release and several release candidates to get everything polished up) we're proud to announce the availability of the new stable release. You'll find updates throughout the system, with the latest compilers and development tools, and recent versions of applications, window managers, desktop environments, and utilities. The Linux kernel is updated to version 3.10.17 (part of the 3.10.x kernel series that will be getting long-term support from the kernel developers). The x86_64 version of Slackware also adds support for installing and booting on systems running UEFI firmware.

Build scripts for all kinds of additional software for Slackware 14.1 can be found on the slackbuilds.org website.

Please consider supporting the Slackware project by picking up a copy of the Slackware 14.1 release from the Slackware Store. The discs are off to replication, but we're accepting pre-orders for the official 6 CD set and the DVD. The CD set is the 32-bit x86 release, while the DVD is a dual-sided disc with the 32-bit x86 release on one side and the 64-bit x86_64 release on the other. 谢谢楼主分享学习了 呵呵，看到LZ在各版区都“自豪”地炫耀Slackware，但是似乎连Slackware的doc都没完整看过一遍吧？
我也是Slackware入的门，但是Slackware缺点太多了，64位版本的没有multilib支持，导致无法使用32位软件，另外官方源+Slackbuilds的软件数量还是偏少，有时候我不得不自己写slackbuild，维护太麻烦了。。 三楼回帖没特别的意思，只是想说，与其去根本对Linux不感兴趣的人群中宣扬Slackware，不如净心好好阅读Slackware网站的手册。
看LZ之前的发帖似乎还没对Slackware的基本结构有过系统了解，建议学习下Slackware book。我的基础知识全是在那本书中学习的，尽管有部分内容并不适用于其它发行版。 老实说没用过，不过我不是玩桌面的。我用桌面是为了用浏览器上网，还有就是能打开多个终端，方便使用 本帖最后由 zalois 于 2013-11-10 22:46 编辑

我从dos开始入门,一路玩过95,98,2000,xp,vista, 7,8,8.1,open server,fedora,freeBSD,slackware,
从slackware 14.0起,我就只用slackware了,用的64位.也许是我使用的软件少,texlive+vim,opera+firefox+chrome,还有vlc,基本满足我所有需要了.32位的库我也没配置.
倒是买过一本slackware的书,需要时就查查.我自己也用slackbuild重做过一些软件.承蒙赐教,以后有空时再学习slackware book,因为专业不是计算机,操作系统只是一个工具,感觉能用,用着顺手就好.
