Installing OSX 10.4 Tiger(10.4.8, 9, 10) for Nforce 650i MOBO
My experience for installing OSX 10.4 Tiger.1. JAS 10.4.8
Quite smooth, boot with installation DVD, select Intel Package, Video driver, installation done in 10 mins, can't correctly reboot.Had to reset on tower.After boot, no sound, no onboard network, no SATA; had to install ALC833 Audio; SATA driver AppleNForceATA.kext by medevil/bikedude; no solution for onboard Marvell 86E11016 gb net, switched to RTL8139 PCI net adapter.Other than hardware glitches as mentioned, system runs perfect, both cores recognized;
2. Uphuck 10.4.9 r1.4 AMD
Almost as easy as previous version, but had to modify com.apple.boot.Plist with boot flag "cpus=1", since I was told 8.9.1 kernel doesn't support both cores on nForce Chipset mobo,too bad, right?
3. Delta update 10.4.10
By using this package (http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3726803/10.4.10_Mac_OS_X_update_for_hackintosh), I was told by somebody, upgrade with the intel package, then replace the kernel with the AMD kernel in bz2. Cause AMD kernel is a noHPET kernel, this is because of this mobo, its HPET is not supported by 10.4.10 kernel...
